POWER INFRASTRUCTURE

PROJECTS | POWER INFRASTRUCTURE

POWER DISTRIBUTION, ENERGY GENERATION, SUPPORT STRUCTURES, EQUIPMENT

With the increasing demand of power from large industrial projects in the region, the need for custom and non-standard solutions exist to ensure solid infrastructure for a facilities or area's energy distribution needs.

We've provided mechanical support for the critical fittings and connections of run-of-the-river generators, and on numerous occasions, Western Pacific Metalworks has worked in tandem with electrical contractors and engineers to realize a cost-effective solution to realizing a solid platform to integrate their power and electrical infrastructure.

Where manufacturer's hardware and unistrut systems fail to meet the requirements, a custom fabricated solution is the right approach. This includes; custom transformer platforms, communications and control shelters and enclosures, tower modifications, equipment access platforms, covers, flanges, barriers, and various equipment brackets  to support electrical components.

Services:
  • Custom Platforms
  • Equipment Shelters & Enclosures
  • Tower & Support Members
  • Brackets, flanges, & covers

Clients include: BC Hydro, Pacific Northern Gas, Suncor Energy, Husky Energy, Allteck Line Contractors, Powerflow Electric

SPLASH IMAGE | BACKGROUND

Western Pacific Metalworks was asked to support Allteck Line Contractors in providing field support and fabrication support for a unique project of an ongoing site energization project. Western Pacific Metalworks were instrumental in the critical efforts to finalize power distribution to a remote site in a very inaccessible environment.
"We appreciate the quality work which your employees performed under very challenging circumstances and the remote location which is Kemano.  In particular, I would like to recognize the hard work and determination displayed by yourself and Eli especially during the operation involving the relocation of Tower 18."
~ William Corse, Construction Manager - Allteck Line Contractors
